Cruising the Canals

Saturday was gorgeous out so we rented a boat and spent a few hours cruising through the canals.

Oh Captain My Captain

Tree-lined canal streets

So many different kinds of house boats along the water

Ran into some traffic on the water. The rowers behind us navigated through with no problem, oars and all.

James Wilson went to the store and bought all the ingredients for our boat picnic. Lots of cheese, of course.

Sailed right through the Willows
I’d like to move in.
James Wilson took a turn at the helm. He did great.
We were FaceTiming with Grammy but we lost her when we went under the bridge.

Back on land we ended the day with some oysters.

It was an insanely perfect day, and it made me feel so incredibly lucky to live here. I kept turning to James and yelling “I’m living my best life, Goddammit!”

  • So awesome! I love reading all about your adventures! Have you moved in to a more permanent place yet?

    • We move out of our short-stay place to our new apartment this Thursday. I can’t wait!!!!! All our stuff will be delivered that day and it will be so good to get settled into our place and be reunited with our items. I packed like a fool for this trip. I have one (ONE) long-sleeved shirt and zero jackets and all sandals. I don’t know what I was thinking. 😉
