Brian’s Misadventures in the Park
August 28, 2018
We have a great park near our short stay apartment that we’ve been taking Brian to. Dogs here have tons of freedom. You rarely see them on leashes and they are welcome in most businesses, including restaurants. Those dogs are better behaved than Brian. Today at the park he stole another dog’s ball, ran as fast as he could away from me, jumped in the pond and swam all around with the ball in his mouth like a total jerk. Then he couldn’t get out so I had to rescue him by pulling him out by his collar, after which he ran over and shook on a bunch of picnickers. He jumped right back in again and tried to carry a giant piece of wood out with him, but of course he couldn’t get out so I had to wrestle it away from him and he started barking at me like I was stealing his treasure. He also surprised me with an off-schedule poop, but luckily I was prepared. Taking him to the park is such a treat.
You have to love a dog with so much enthusiasm.
It’s true. He’s very glad to be here.
It seems through all of the chaos Brian’s new friends still liked him.
Weirdly, they do. And it turns out he’s not the worst dog in the dog park. I saw another dog steal somebody’s picnic food today and it was outrageous!!
