Robert Plant in the Garden

Last winter I asked James to design a water feature for the garden and to use this photo of Robert Plant as the inspiration. There should be an orb, preferably glowing and mist sometimes, I said.

This photo of Robert Plant is what I told James to use as inspiration for designing our water feature, which he executed perfectly as you will plainly see. I think it’s fair to say Robert Plant’s a man who has gotten the most out of life. I fell down a rabbit hole reading about him and his life and Led Zeppelin. If you’ve never read Hammer of the Gods you are missing out.
James began construction in early Spring
He custom built the base using wood from abandoned palettes and designed it so all the electrical components can be housed inside with easy access.
Next came the lights and mist. You can buy a mister at the garden center, it was just a matter of choosing one that was the right size — it has to be fully submerged to achieve maximum misting.
Next was choosing the orb, which took the most time. So many orbs, we had to find one that most captured Robert Plant’s vibe.
Here he is fully assembled and in place

Behold, Robert plant in all his glowing, misting glory. If you come visit you’ll be able to bask in all his wizarding splendor. See you later, witches. xoxox

PS: You would not believe what a pain in the arse it is to figure out how to embed a video in a blog.
