Thank Goodness for Shrimpy
May 28, 2020
The Shrimp Whisker is our safe haven. We’re so grateful for this boat and it’s giving us so much happiness and tranquility. I go down in the mornings with Brian and take off the cover and set up the chairs on the canal bank and hang out reading, listening to music and watching the birds and people go by. If James is able to end work before it’s too late, (not that it’s ever too late seeing that it’s light out until 11pm now) he joins me and we either just hang out or take it out for a ride. Last night we drove through Center, and the city was so incredibly beautiful it almost made me cry. De Wallen (the red light district, which is the oldest part of the city and one of the most beautiful) was essentially a ghost town, which felt so strange.
Overall we’re doing pretty well. We’re moving from stage 1 to stage 2 of the easing of the intelligent lockdown next week. This means JW goes back to school, amongst other things. More on that later…
I have not seen this for a very long time since all the lockdowns and such. Hope you are all well. finally going to be able to get to Scotland to visit Diana and Emily, it has been a year. Way too long for Grandma.
Take care. Love to you all
Love the Shrimpy scenes. Your place in the country!
