Albert Cuyp Market

James Wilson and I took the tram to the Albert Cuyp Market in the Pijp and spent some time wandering through the market and checking everything out.  It’s a good place to buy furniture, pottery, raw fish, flowers, beauty supplies, bicycles, and all kinds of prepared foods.

We got some fresh, warm stroopwafels that were insanely good.

We also found a great cafe and had some mint tea and did some people watching

We’ve gotten pretty good at navigating our way around.  The day before, we went to the belly of the beast — city center — and braved the crowds and mayhem.  We also meandered through some of the quieter streets along the canal ring. James Wilson got his first glimpse of the red light district, (along the main canal, not the little side streets) and he took it in stride.  Mostly he just wanted to find some ice cream.

  • I remember your first encounter with the red light district. You were enthralled. As usual, Brooke missed it and wanted to go back
